Created by our founder, Annie Reynolds, Sunshine Sitters is an amalgamation of Annie’s 20+ years of experience and education. She holds a Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado. Her experience in childcare spans the globe as she not only grew up overseas, but has taught preschool, elementary, and university levels internationally.

Over the past two decades, Annie has worked extensively with infants through adults, including those with neurodevelopmental, cognitive, and physical needs. She uses her unique ability to connect with children of all ages and abilities to create nurturing and stimulating environments no matter the challenge, which can be highlighted in her work as an adaptive ski and scuba instructor. Her ability to pivot and adapt was strengthened while working as a travel nanny. And as a First Aide/CPR/AED instructor, safety is always first!

In 2023, Annie finally decided to take everything she’s learnt and offer safe, reliable, and engaging care to the people of Oahu. Her vision was a team of kind, patient caregivers who provide engaging activities and create lifelong memories, all while offering flexible scheduling to meet your family's needs.

All of our sitters have been trained personally by Annie to ensure they hold the traits and education needed to be considered a Sunshine Sitter. All are 18 and over, have been through thorough background checks, are certified in CPR and first aid, and our agency is fully insured.
